castle hill - visiting centre
castle hill, huddersfield
Castle Hill visiting centre was a proposal for a visiting centre that would supply a place for the history of castle hill as well as allowing for a place to sit, relax, and enjoy the views with a hot drink. with views over the surrounding lands and the adjacent valley, the visiting centre fit into the landscape with its use of natural timber cladding and a green roof with local topsoil. Using large south facing double glazed windows for light and heat retention. Northlight windows for the gallery to help present the exhibitions.

The design uses SIP panel construction to help the building keep a comfortable internal environment, whilst also allowing for cost and quality control. along with a quick construction process.
