SECOND YEAR
Morecambe bay Micro Museum
morcambe bay, Morcambe
The micro museum of Morecambe bay was an interesting short project, of around six to eight weeks, this project involved the creation of a micro museum/emergency refuge point for tourists if they were to become stranded out within the bay.

The design was built around this concrete platform that we where given and had to be above the maximum water level. so, in my opinion, an amphibious design was the best fit. A design that not only reflected the heritage of the bay in terms of the Viking burials that happened within the bay. But also appeared to ride the waves just like the boats themselves. Built with a concrete column within the centre to act as an anchor and built upon a floated decking system, the design also rotated with the currents and produced panoramic views.
