The vertebrae centre, a concept for a new medical and community centre within Highfields, on the outskirts of Huddersfield town centre. The design allowed for the instalment of a community sports hall as well as a fully functioning medical facility. The design also utilises environmentally friendly functions. these are instalments such as greywater harvesting techniques through the use of the butterfly roof and the long-spanning valley gutter. and the use of natural shading methods using planting and vine solar shading.

the design is made up of dirty three individual components, based around the human vertebrae, inspired my medical practice in hopes to make it the backbone of the community.
