SECOND YEAR

BROW FIELD COUNTRY HOME

meltham, huddersfield

This four-bedroom detached property known as the Brown Field country home was designed to be both a large family home and an office from which the family could run their business. this meant that the house had to both serve as a private space that felt like home, whilst similarity been able to have business meetings inside, without one disturbing the other, or creating spaces that completely separate the two functions.

The design was a timber beam and sip panel building to keep the building at a comfortable internal climate. the building was designed for the use of local materials and preexisting shapes found on the site, taking inspiration from the stables. this was to keep the design in keeping with its surroundings and give it a natural theme.
